130 emergency forces conducted a spectacular large-scale exercise in the Killesberg light rail tunnel in the north of Stuttgart. The emergency forces simulated an accident involving a light rail vehicle in the tunnel. According to the fire department, the exercise made it possible to gain important knowledge for use in an emergency.

The exercise was focused, among other things, on the treatment of injured persons, the supply of extinguishing water and the removal of smoke from the tunnel. The LUF 60 (fire-fighting robot) was used for the smoke extraction.
