Garbage fire in open area

Fire department with large contingent in German industrial area

The Oberderdingen Volunteer Fire Department was initially alerted to a "garbage fire in an open area" in the Robert-Bosch-Ring in the district of Flehingen (Germany). A fire had occurred in a waste disposal company. Due to further numerous incoming emergency calls in the control center as well as the confirmation of a strong smoke development of the first arriving forces of the fire department Flehingen, the alarm keyword was increased to "B4 - warehouse fire".

Additional firefighting and special vehicles were alerted. As a precaution, the Bruchsal fire department requested the special extinguishing agent roll-off container and the LUF 60 fire-fighting robot. The Bretten fire department requested the NBC explorer from the command center.
