Fire in shopping center

Fire in shopping center in Stuttgart (Germany) lasts several hours

The "Königsbau Passagen" shopping area in Stuttgart has been evacuated by the fire department. Earlier, smoke had formed inside the shopping center in downtown Stuttgart. According to the police, a container had presumably caught fire in the building's underground car park. The fire department also announced that the entire building had to be closed due to the heavy smoke development.

The fire could be extinguished with an extinguishing pipe. Extensive ventilation work followed. The fire-fighting robot LUF 60 was used to remove smoke from the underground garage.
The measuring group of the Stuttgart Fire Department carried out air measurements throughout the building. At around 8 p.m., the building was handed over to the center management again.
