Extinguishing robot clears underground car park of smoke
On 30 January 2023, a fire was reported in an underground car park in Cologne. When the emergency services arrived, they found the underground car park very smoky, but a car burning there had already been extinguished by passer-bys with four powder fire extinguishers.
Two emergency teams under breathing protection then checked the affected area and extinguished the remaining fire and embers.
The volunteer fire brigade used the LUF 60 to support the smoke extraction. The high-performance fan of the LUF 60 was used for smoke extraction. The fire brigade and rescue service were deployed with 38 personnel and 13 vehicles.
