Huge fire at recycling company in Austria

14 fire departments and two LUF 60 in action

A fire broke out on the premises of a recycling company in Upper Styria in Austria: More than 100 firefighters from 14 fire departments were involved in the firefighting operation.

The fire spread on a pile of bulky waste with a length of about 50 meters - the extinguishing operation on the premises of the recycling company had to be carried out with heavy breathing protection, "because there was such a strong smoke development," describes fire department spokesman Stefan Rimmelmoser. Two LUF 60 firefighting robots supported the firefighters.
