Compressor fire at indoor swimming pool: heavy smoke
In an indoor swimming pool in Bruchsal, a compressor caught fire on November 17. Due to the heavy smoke, the fire department deployed the firefighting robot LUF 60. According to the fire department, the Bruchsal department had been called to a fire alarm in the indoor swimming pool at 4:09 am. When the first forces arrived, they found the entire basement and technical area smoky.
In order to remove the smoke from the building, the fire department used a ventilation unit in the basement floors and the LUF 60 in the pool area. Due to the large volume of the building, the operation lasted until 8:30 am. The Untergrombach department manned the Bruchsal fire station to ensure basic protection in the response area.
After the emergency equipment was removed, firefighters performed monitoring checks with measuring equipment to ensure that employees could enter the building without danger.
